"Fellow toy collectors, have you weighed yourself today?!"
Japan's TAKARA TOMY toy company's gashapon brand Panda's Hole (パンダの穴) has partnered with Japanese health management brand TANITA (タニタ) to create the "How Many Kilos Today?" gashapon series featuring cute animals weighing themselves. Now, they are set to release the second installment, "How Many Kilos Today? Season 2," in June 2024! The suggested retail price is 400 JPY per capsule.
In addition to anthropomorphizing various animals and showcasing their amusing concern for their physique, the "How Many Kilos Today?" gashapon series also allows collectors to acquire a variety of TANITA-produced scales. For Season 2, six animals have been enlisted: a bear, a crocodile, a pig, a penguin, a dog, and a rabbit. Their stances, looking down at the numbers, are simply adorable! The scales themselves feature a rich array of TANITA products, such as the FR series set which includes a muscle strength meter, body composition analyzer, and pedometer, the RD-930L which measures various data including body fat and muscle mass, and the orange version of the 7-in-1 body composition analyzer BC-760, among others.
Collecting the entire "How Many Kilos Today? Season 2" set and lining them up is truly wonderful; you can even observe the weight distribution of each animal. For toy collectors looking to shape their physique, placing a set on your desk might genuinely help you maintain a positive attitude! After all, even the plump penguin is working so hard.
