Following the Shinkocchou Seihou "Kamen Rider 1 / Hongo Takeshi (Kamen Rider THE NEXT)" from the popular S.H.Figuarts action figure series, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., today they announced the latest product from "Kamen Rider THE NEXT", the "Cyclone 1 (Kamen Rider THE NEXT)", scheduled for release in January 2025.
Between 2005 and 2007, Toei released two films, "Kamen Rider THE FIRST" and "Kamen Rider THE NEXT", to carry on the story of the original "Kamen Rider", which was immensely popular nearly 35 years prior. This series was not merely a remake of the "Kamen Rider" televised back then, but rather an adaptation of Shotaro Ishinomori's manga, depicting Hongo Takeshi and Hayato Ichimonji's fight against the Shocker organization, and their subsequent encounter with Shiro Kazami (V3), all in a mysterious and eerie style true to the original work.
The "S.H.Figuarts Cyclone 1 (Kamen Rider THE NEXT)" utilizes entirely new parts to recreate the high-performance motorcycle built by Tobei Tachibana for Hongo Takeshi. It precisely reproduces realistic mechanical structures such as the wheel rims, suspension, chain, and exhaust pipes, and is finished with various metallic paint applications to convey a substantial texture. Notably, the exhaust pipes feature vibrant metallic gradient painting, mimicking the burnt coloration of titanium surfaces, while the windshield and headlights are crafted from clear parts.
Many details also feature movable mechanisms, including articulated handlebars, deployable kickstand, and a retractable rear wheel suspension system. When paired with the separately sold "Kamen Rider 1 / Hongo Takeshi (Kamen Rider THE NEXT)" figure, its flexible articulation allows for natural riding poses. Furthermore, the product will include a bonus part, a "handheld mask," which can also be used with the main figure to recreate scenes of Hongo Takeshi removing his helmet.
