The affordable pre-painted figure series 'FORM-ISM', launched by Japan's SQUARE ENIX, following its first product '2B', recently announced the latest products from 'NieR:Automata': 'A2 (YoRHa Type A No. 2)' and 'A2 (YoRHa Type A No. 2) Short Hair Ver.', slated for release in October 2024.
The 'FORM-ISM' series is a brand new line of PVC pre-painted figures characterized by its accessible pricing. Compared to typical 1/8 or 1/7 scale character figures that often exceed 10,000 Japanese Yen, 'FORM-ISM' figures are priced at approximately 4,500 Japanese Yen + tax, offering an easy-to-collect size of about 18 cm, along with a commendable level of sculpting and paint application. Similar to products from other manufacturers like POP UP PARADE, TENITOL, KDcolleLIGHT, and ConoFig, it aims to capture the low-price market segment with its popular in-house IP characters.
'FORM-ISM A2 (YoRHa Type A No. 2)' is simultaneously released in both her initial long-haired appearance and her short-haired appearance from the latter half of the story. Both versions feature completely different outfits and poses, yet are priced identically at 4,500 Japanese Yen + tax. The long-haired version depicts A2 leaning provocatively on the Type-40 Blade, while the short-haired version captures the dynamic moment she slashes with the Type-40 Tactical Sword after her clothing is damaged.
