The theatrical anime film "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM," released nearly 20 years after the conclusion of the TV anime series, will once again be directed by Mitsuo Fukuda. It utilizes the script left behind by his late wife, Chiaki Morosawa, developing a brand new story set in C.E. 75, following the events of "SEED-D."
After the great war, the anti-Coordinator organization "Blue Cosmos" continues to incite conflicts around the world. The formerly opposing Earth Alliance and P.L.A.N.T, along with the neutral nation Orb, jointly established the world peace monitoring organization "COMPASS." Lacus Clyne, the driving force behind ending the war, serves as its first president, and Kira Yamato and others, as members of the organization, travel worldwide to intervene in conflicts. Against this backdrop, the emerging nation "Foundation," which declared independence from the Eurasian Federation, proposed a joint operation plan to "COMPASS" to dispatch troops to the Blue Cosmos stronghold... .
This limited Gunpla, "HG 1/144 Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam [Limited Clear Ver.]," is the mobile suit used by the protagonist, Kira Yamato, in the latter half of the story. The kit is a modification of the regular version, with the main body's white, blue, red, yellow, and black parts replaced with clear parts featuring a glittery texture.
Other parts are largely the same as the regular version. The distinctive gold frame parts are molded with a realistic metallic luster, and the blade of the physical sword "Futsunomitama" utilizes two types of surface finishes to express textural differences. The forehead beam cannon's deployed state can be recreated by swapping parts. Armaments include two beam sabers, two beam rifles, and a beam shield. By deploying the waist railguns, the classic "Full Burst Mode" can be recreated. Furthermore, each wing of the "Proud Defender" not only features movable designs but also allows the external armor to expand, with 3D metallic stickers applied internally to create a glowing effect.
