Issued by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, the 'METAL ROBOT Damashii' series, which combines metallic texture painting and an alloy frame, today announced the latest product from 《Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM》, the 'Infinite Justice Gundam Type II', scheduled for release in January 2025.
The ZGMF-X191M2 Infinite Justice Gundam Type II, piloted by Athrun Zala, is a new mobile suit improved from his previous machine, the 'Infinite Justice Gundam', using the latest technology from Morgenroete. It features an all-around cockpit, VPS armor, and a significantly revamped armor exterior. A large 'Beam Horn' has been added to its head for surprise attacks, and its backpack has been replaced with the new 'M2X32E VOLANTES' propulsion unit, granting it ultra-high-speed combat capabilities through its new foldable wings. The leading edges of the four wings can also deploy beam blades. However, because this machine uses a nuclear power engine, which violates the Junius Treaty, it must usually operate discreetly, disguised as a Z'Gok.
The 'METAL ROBOT Damashii Infinite Justice Gundam Type II' condenses the sophisticated design and flexible articulation from the show into a figure approximately 14 cm tall. The alloy movable frame in various parts not only enhances joint tightness and provides a substantial feel when handled, but also features electroplated coloring to strengthen its texture. The entire exterior is also treated with various matte and metallic paints to convey a sense of weight, and original model markings are printed on it, greatly increasing the detail density and its realism as a weapon.
Armaments include the 'High-Energy Beam Rifle' (unused in the show), the 'Prototype 35 Railgun' for anti-beam units, two 'Beam Sabers' that can form a double-bladed weapon, and a shield. It also comes with various effect parts to recreate the head's 'Beam Horn', the leg's 'Beam Boomerang', the beam blades on the four wings, as well as the shield's built-in beam shield, beam boomerang, anchor hook, and beam blade functions. Combined with the main body's extensive articulation, these allow for the recreation of dynamic combat poses!
