Singaporean statue manufacturer XM Studios yesterday (12th) unveiled the latest addition to its "Batman Samurai" series, a Japanese-style line centered on DC comic characters and infused with elements of Japan's Sengoku period and samurai culture: the "The Batman Family" 1/6 scale diorama! Pre-orders are now open on the XM Studios official website, with a suggested retail price of 3,299 Singapore Dollars.
This 1/6 scale "The Batman Family" diorama, arguably XM Studios' most ambitious work yet, stands at an impressive 67 cm tall. Centered around Batman, it gathers Batgirl, Batwoman, Nightwing, Robin, Red Hood, and Catwoman, all reinterpreted with Sengoku period Japanese styling for their armor, masks, weapons, and more. The intricate sculpting and paintwork on the metallic armor are a major highlight of this piece, boasting incredibly rich detail. Accessories include both modern-style and Sengoku-style head sculpts for each character. Uniquely, Batman also comes with an additional seated pose and a body themed as a Shogun, meaning Batman alone has four head sculpts – truly luxurious!
The scene, constructed from rock debris and architectural ruins, features two military banners symbolizing the Bat-Family on either side. The Bat-symbol plaque on the back also shows thoughtful design, making the entire piece look truly imposing!
