In addition to the "Darth Maul" collectible, American high-quality collectible brand Premium Collectibles Studio (PCS) has also simultaneously launched a higher-spec new product for their Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace theme: the "Darth Maul Platinum Exclusive Edition" 1/3 scale collectible statue. It is priced at USD 1,755 and is expected to ship between late 2024 and February 2025!
Darth Maul, the main antagonist of Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, was ultimately defeated and bisected by Obi-Wan Kenobi. While the film didn't offer many opportunities to see him fully unleash his power, in the spin-off animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 4, Darth Maul reappeared on a frontier planet with prosthetic legs, allowing fans to witness more diverse looks for this powerful Sith Lord, and for the first time, see the complete tattoos hidden beneath his attire!
This Darth Maul Platinum Exclusive Edition 1/3 scale collectible statue not only includes the same statue as the regular version, featuring him in his black Sith robes, but also provides an interchangeable upper body. This allows for a more dynamically posed, bare-chested Darth Maul, utilizing the same leg stance. The meticulously sculpted details faithfully recreate his fierce and intimidating visage, realistically portraying his battle-hardened musculature and intricate body tattoos. The lightsaber also features LED light-up functionality, and the pose with it resting against his arm further demonstrates his agile mastery of the double-bladed lightsaber!
The base also features sculpted reliefs on all four sides, recreating four iconic scenes from the classic Theed Royal Palace duel. Each relief also has LED light-up functionality above it, elevating the overall quality of the statue. Furthermore, the product will include a separate base for the interchangeable upper body, allowing the unused alternate part to be displayed as a bust!
