American toy brand Sideshow Collectibles' Premium Format series has launched a new Star Wars-themed product – the "Obi-Wan Kenobi Mythos" 1/4 Scale Collectible Statue, with a suggested retail price of US$725. It is now available for pre-order on the Sideshow official website, with an estimated shipping date between January 2025 and April 2025!
Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi's role spans the entire Star Wars saga, witnessing the fall of his master Qui-Gon Jinn, his apprentice Anakin's descent into the dark side, the decline of the Jedi Order, and the rise of Luke Skywalker. He has also delivered many outstanding performances in the animated spin-off series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and his solo series "Obi-Wan," allowing audiences to gain a deeper understanding of this Jedi sage who appeared in the very first installment of the series. He is truly one of the most richly developed characters!
This "Obi-Wan Kenobi Mythos" 1/4 Scale Collectible Statue sculpts Obi-Wan as a wandering exile, trekking through the Tatooine desert. Fabric materials faithfully recreate the details of Obi-Wan's attire, allowing for a flowing, dynamic drape of his cloak. The lightsaber in his hand features an LED light-up function, and the sculpt itself is packed with Easter eggs! Adorning his person are accessories related to Obi-Wan from multiple works, including a Tusken Raider rifle, the lightsabers previously wielded by his master Qui-Gon and his apprentice Anakin, Obi-Wan's Clone Wars armor, and a Jedi training remote, all presenting the poignant image of a wise man who has lost everything.
One of the greatest features of this release is the inclusion of interchangeable head sculpts, allowing collectors to switch between the younger and older Obi-Wan looks, as portrayed by actors Sir Alec Guinness and Ewan McGregor, respectively. Both head sculpts perfectly capture the unique aura of this revered Jedi Master!
