Renowned poster design and toy company MONDO has launched a new product based on the classic X-Men animated series sequel, X-Men '97 – the "Cyclops (Limited Edition)" 1/6 scale collectible figure. Priced at US$240, this item is limited to 1500 units worldwide and will be available for pre-order exclusively on the MONDO official website starting at noon CT on June 18, 2024, with an estimated shipping date of December 2024!
Cyclops, whose real name is Scott Summers, is the leader of the X-Men. He possesses a gentle, rational, and far-sighted personality, along with the superpower to emit powerful optic blasts from his eyes. However, he cannot control them freely; they fire continuously as long as his eyes are open and only stop when closed. Therefore, he must rely on special glasses for control.
This Cyclops Limited Edition 1/6 scale collectible figure stands approximately 30.4 cm tall. It meticulously sculpts and recreates Cyclops' X-Men uniform as seen in the series, utilizing painted line art and distinct light/shadow separation to capture the character's 2D animated aesthetic. Accessories include an alternate head sculpt with an open mouth, multiple interchangeable hands, and a generous array of optic blast effect parts. This limited edition will also include two additional head sculpts with flat painted effects depicting the illumination from his optic blasts, as well as more dynamic optic blast effects, and interchangeable jacket parts to recreate an even wider range of poses!
