The British toy company First 4 Figures, known for releasing a wide variety of video game-themed character statues, is set to launch a PVC statue of the popular BOSS character from From Software's iconic title "Dark Souls", Artorias the Abysswalker ("ARTORIAS THE ABYSSWALKER"), in the first quarter of 2025! The price will be 549.99 USD.
From Software, the creator of popular action games such as "Demon's Souls," "Dark Souls," "Bloodborne," "Sekiro," and "Elden Ring," has established the "Souls-like" genre, which many players regard as the ultimate test of skill. The games' various high-difficulty BOSSes and enigmatic, mysterious storylines keep many players endlessly engaged, unwilling to cease their challenges even after repeated deaths.
The enemy BOSS "Knight Artorias", who appears in "Dark Souls," is one of the Four Knights of Gwyn, the Lord of Cinder, and wields a ring engraved with a wolf's insignia. He forged a covenant with the creatures of the Abyss, gaining the ability to traverse it, thus earning titles such as "Abyss Walker" and "Abysswalker." He is skilled in using a greatsword. Artorias bravely ventured to defeat Manus, Father of the Abyss, but failed, instead being consumed by the Abyss and losing his sanity.
This "Artorias the Abysswalker" statue by First 4 Figures stands approximately 21 inches tall. Its appearance faithfully recreates his iconic initial pose from the game, featuring his familiar left arm hanging down, his right hand holding his greatsword behind his back, and his knees bent in a semi-crouch. The flowing cape and blue scarf on his body, along with the intricate textures on his armor, are all meticulously sculpted. The base beneath his feet is designed to evoke a sense of overgrown desolation, making it quite unique. For fans of Dark Souls, this is a highly recommended collectible. Furthermore, this product is available in both a Standard Edition and a Deluxe Edition; the Deluxe Edition includes an additional, sharper-looking uncursed greatsword for interchangeability.
