The new product from US toy manufacturer Diamond Select Toys' "Gallery Diorama" series, a "Red Ranger" PVC statue themed after "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers," has been exclusively revealed with official product images and sales information on the entertainment news platform Toku Nation. The suggested retail price is US$80, with pre-orders opening on the Diamond Select Toys official website on June 21, 2024 (US time), and an estimated release in Q1 2025!
Toei Company's Super Sentai series, released in Japan, had its overseas broadcasting rights acquired by businessman Haim Saban in 1993. To cater to Western audiences, Saban Entertainment utilized the Japanese tokusatsu footage while reshooting and replacing the live-action, unmasked scenes, adapting the 1992 "Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger" into the original "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers," which became an instant sensation upon its broadcast!
This "Red Ranger" PVC statue stands approximately 27.9 cm tall, crafted in the design of the original Red Ranger, derived from the "Tyranno Ranger" of "Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger." The intricate sculpting captures the helmet's smooth texture and the fabric's wrinkles, depicting the Red Ranger in a dynamic pose, wielding both the Ranger Sword and Ranger Gun. The substantial red energy effect, extending from the legs to form the base, is also sculpted to represent the Red Ranger's iconic Zord, the Tyrannosaurus, showcasing immense power with its airborne dynamic!
