From Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS' action figure brand "S.H.Figuarts", today announced the upcoming release at the annual San Diego Comic-Con, a new product based on the "NARUTOP99 Commemorative Illustration" specially drawn by Naruto author Masashi Kishimoto-sensei to thank fans – the "Hatake Kakashi -NARUTOP99 Edition-" action figure. The suggested retail price is 8,250 JPY, and it is scheduled for release on July 1, 2024!
The S.H.Figuarts "NARUTOP99" series of products are based on illustrations drawn by Kishimoto for the "NARUTOP 99" global popularity poll for Naruto characters, held from December 28, 2022, to January 31, 2023, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Naruto manga. Following the release of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 6th place characters, "Minato Namikaze", "Itachi Uchiha", "Sakura Haruno", and "Naruto Uzumaki", this time, they are releasing the Team 7 teacher and Copy Ninja, "Hatake Kakashi", who secured fifth place with 212,403 votes!
This Hatake Kakashi action figure stands approximately 16 cm tall, and is a new release following the 2022 "Hatake Kakashi -The Renowned Sharingan Hero-". It is sculpted in the image of Kakashi from the NARUTOP99 commemorative illustration. The green of his Jonin vest is painted to match the illustration's colors, appearing more vibrant than previous versions. Accessories include multiple interchangeable hand parts, such as those for the "Thousand Years of Death" technique. While Kakashi's beloved "Icha Icha Paradise" is not included this time, it does come with the shuriken he holds in both hands in the illustration, allowing for various cool dynamic poses!
