The "LEGO Icons" series from Danish toy company LEGO, targeting adult LEGO fans, recently unveiled two new additions to its "Botanical Collection": set number 10368 "Chrysanthemum" and set number 10369 "Plum Blossom"! With a suggested retail price of US$29.99, they are expected to be released on August 1, 2024. Furthermore, these two new sets were co-created by Taiwanese LEGO fan "ZiO Creation"! A huge congratulations to him! Let's take a closer look.
Updated on June 27, 2024:
Both of these new floral art sets include the plant itself and a pot. In terms of piece count, the "Chrysanthemum" has 278 pieces, and the "Plum Blossom" has 327 pieces. Once assembled, their heights are 26 cm and 34 cm respectively. Both boast beautiful and vibrant colors. The chrysanthemum flowers are rendered using a large number of orange banana pieces, complemented by red and yellow elements to create a vivid sense of layering. The overall design is inspired by the bronze-yellow and red bi-color Fuego Chrysanthemum, with the unopened flower buds also excellently represented.
For the plum blossom, in addition to the beautiful red and pink flowers, the distribution and direction of the branches are also superb! The pot features a classical Chinese aesthetic, adorned with gold elements and placed on a wooden-textured stand, making the overall presentation truly stunning. Furthermore, based on hints from "ZiO Creation" and a look at the packaging art, it is believed that the collection will be designed around the Four Gentlemen of Flowers: Plum, Orchid, Bamboo, and Chrysanthemum. Let's eagerly anticipate future releases!
