Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya (KOTOBUKIYA) today announced the latest scale figure product based on its original plastic model kit series "Megami Device", the "Shura Ninja Modeler's Edition 1/2 Scale Figure", slated for release in November 2024. This product will be sold exclusively through official designated channels such as KOTOBUKIYA SHOP.
The "Shura" series of units released under "Megami Device" are designed by the renowned Japanese illustrator Nidy-2D-. The initially released Ninja and Archer versions feature armor designed with red and white color schemes, combined with the Japanese-inspired professions of ninja and archer, integrating traditional weapons such as bows, katanas, shurikens, and wakizashis with mechanical structures. The voluptuous and alluring body sculpt is also one of the reasons for its popularity, with various derivative and enhanced versions released subsequently.
The "Shura Ninja Modeler's Edition 1/2 Scale Figure" is essentially the same as the regular edition released in 2022. Compared to the original plastic model kit, it boasts twice the height and eight times the volume, while also featuring richer, more intricate detailing. This large scale allows for a magnificent display of its voluptuous physique and highly mechanical weaponry.
However, the parts for this version are unpainted, undecaled, and unassembled, making its price more affordable than the pre-painted regular edition. The kit comprises approximately 220 parts, and the two interchangeable face parts include both pre-painted and unpainted versions, making it an ideal kit for modelers with a certain level of skill.
