American toy giant Mattel recently unveiled the second product in its dream collaboration between "Masters of the Universe" and the popular Netflix series "Stranger Things" – the "He-Man & Vecna" action figure set. This reveal took place during Target's online toy collector event, "Summer Geek-Out!", following the previous "Skeletor & Demogorgon" release. The set is priced at a suggested retail of $34.99 and is expected to be released in October 2024!
After Skeletor tore open the fabric of the universe and entered the Upside Down, Eternia must rely on He-Man and his allies to resist the invasion from this alternate dimension! This dream collaboration once again brings us another epic battle set in an Upside Down Eternia!
This product includes a recolored version of the "Masters of the Universe" 5.5-inch "Origins" series He-Man action figure. His low-saturation skin tone evokes the lighting of the Upside Down, and he comes equipped with his classic armor, Power Sword, and battle axe. One of the highlights is the inclusion of a shield accessory inspired by the "Hellfire Club" from "Stranger Things" Season 4, featuring the club's iconic demon head relief sculpted onto He-Man's standard shield!
The other figure in the set is Vecna, the main antagonist from "Stranger Things" Season 4, reimagined in the style of a "Masters of the Universe" 5.5-inch action figure. He is designed with Eternian-style armor and faithfully recreates his tentacled appearance from the show. The weapon accessories are also quite creative, transforming Vecna's iconic grandfather clock from the series into a powerful-looking Time Scepter, complete with a burning effect!
