The renowned Japanese Medicom Toy toy company's popular action figure series "MAFEX", which features characters from movies, anime, and manga, is scheduled to release a 3D action figure of the protagonist robot Tetsujin 28 Go from the classic robot anime series 《Tetsujin 28 Go》 in its original color version in December 2024! The late manga artist Mitsuteru Yokoyama launched the work 《Tetsujin 28 Go》 (鉄人28号) in 1956. At that time, Tetsujin's appearance was more rounded and heavy-bodied. Later, Tokyo Movie in Japan adapted it again in 1980, re-releasing it under the name 《Taiyo no Shisha Tetsujin 28 Go》 (Messenger of the Sun Tetsujin 28 Go), changing the design to a slender humanoid form and slightly modifying the colors. It was also screened in Taiwan in 1987, under the name 《Iron Superman》. Both the old and new versions are beloved by many fans.
This MAFEX Tetsujin 28 Go action figure by Medicom Toy stands approximately 20 cm tall and adopts the same color scheme as the original work. Its articulation is as excellent as the previously released black and white version, with movable joint parts used throughout, allowing for various poses from the original work. It comes with four sets of interchangeable hand parts, which enhance posing. Additionally, it includes flame effect parts for the rear thrusters, and alloy material parts are used in the soles of the feet, making it feel more substantial.
