Following the release of "Nendoroid Hamtaro" from the classic childhood anime "Hamtaro," GOOD SMILE COMPANY of Japan, known for its popular "Nendoroid" series with over a thousand different figures, is now set to release the sunflower seed-loving friend, "Nendoroid Kou-chan"! The suggested retail price is 6,300 JPY, with an anticipated release in November 2024~
The manga "Hamtaro" (とっとこハム太郎), created by Japanese manga artist Ritsuko Kawai, was adapted into an anime series in 2000, airing on TV Tokyo. It comprised 5 seasons and a total of 476 episodes. The story follows Laura Haruna, a fifth-grade girl who owns a curious hamster named Hamtaro. Every day, Hamtaro sneaks out of the house to play with his Ham-Hams, leading a life full of surprises and adventures.
The "Nendoroid Kou-chan" articulated figure brings the energetic hamster to life in a palm-sized, adorable form! It faithfully recreates Kou-chan's gray and white hamster appearance and distinctive markings, with its cute, stubby body and sparkling big eyes – absolutely charming! Interchangeable face plates include a "smiling face," a timid "crying face," and an "eating face" with cheeks puffed full of food. Paired with accessories like a "sunflower seed" for holding, "a pile of sunflower seeds," and interchangeable hand and foot parts, you can enjoy a feast of seeds with Hamtaro!
