From Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company HOBBY Division, the 1/144 scale Gunpla『HG (High Grade)』series, known for its most diverse range of mobile suits, today announced the latest product from《Mobile Suit Gundam MSD》, the「HG 1/144 GM Nightseeker II」, scheduled for release in September 2024.
Following the release of the RGM-79V GM Nightseeker, used for high-altitude airborne operations, the Earth Federation Forces, in response to the needs of local operational units, once again developed a more mobile ace-pilot machine based on the GM Light Armor: the「RGM-79LV GM Nightseeker II」. This model features six improved detachable auxiliary thrusters. After a successful airborne drop, these thrusters can be jettisoned by detonating internal explosives, thereby reducing the mobile suit's weight during ground combat and allowing ace pilots to more easily utilize their combat skills.
The「HG 1/144 GM Nightseeker II」is a modification of the previously releasedGM Nightseeker, utilizing numerous new parts to recreate the head with its removed vulcan cannons, differently designed chest, shoulders, waist, foot armor, and beam saber hilt. The head can also reproduce two forms, equipped with either a transmitter or receiver, by swapping parts. Additionally, the included marking stickers can be used to add rich details.
The overall joints feature a flexible articulation design, and the thrusters mounted on the back also have multi-axis articulation, allowing for various combat poses with armaments such as the high-output beam rifle, beam spray gun, 100mm machine gun, and beam saber.
