Japanese model manufacturer Max Factory's popular articulated figure series "figma" will release the latest product from the popular anime "Dungeon Meshi," "figma Laios," with a suggested retail price of 12,000 JPY, scheduled for release in April 2025!
Japanese manga artist Ryoko Kui's manga series "Dungeon Meshi" centers on "an adventure of enjoying gourmet food in a dungeon labyrinth"—the protagonist Laios fails in his challenge against the Red Dragon, leading to his party's annihilation. To rescue his sister Falin, who was swallowed by the Red Dragon, he decides to return to the labyrinth with the lowest possible budget. To solve the problem of lacking supplies, he embarks on a dungeon adventure where he eats monsters... Using modern cooking techniques and culinary knowledge, he transforms various fantasy creatures and monsters into delicious meals.
The "figma Laios" articulated figure stands approximately 155 mm tall. It faithfully recreates his silver armor and the longsword hanging at his waist, as seen in the anime. During the production of this figma, special attention was given to designing it "to be able to sit down and eat," incorporating double-jointed knees and optimized hip joints to achieve more natural sitting poses, as well as replaceable chainmail parts for the waist, ensuring that the chainmail on both sides integrates with the thighs, allowing the legs to move freely! Large ball joints are also used for the shoulders, enabling him to hold Kensuke with both hands!
Kensuke is designed as a thin sword, and by replacing the scabbard parts, it can recreate the appearance of the sword being drawn and sheathed.
The head sculpt includes three expressions: a standard normal face, a suspicious squinting smile, and an enthusiastic, talkative face showing intense fascination with monsters. These are paired with fantastic monster dishes like the "Giant Scorpion with Walking Mushroom Hotpot" bowl, a giant scorpion tail, and dining chopsticks, recreating his crazy and obsessed appearance from the series~ Additionally, the parts inside the soup bowl are detachable! Enjoy different scenarios before and after eating, and you can even prepare your own dishes to place in the bowl for Laios to savor~
The bonus part is a "Delicious Face!"
