From Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, the "METAL ROBOT Damashii" series, which combines metallic paint finishes and alloy frames, today announced the latest product, "Gundam TR-1 [Hrairoo]," from the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam side story manga ADVANCE OF Ζ: Under the Flag of Titans, scheduled for release in November 2024.
After the development of the Gundam TR-6 [Hrairoo II] was completed, the Titans fed the design data back to the Gundam TR-1, developing the high-mobility combat final form, Gundam TR-1 [Hrairoo]. In this project, to equip the TR-1 with the performance and functions of the TR-6, the TR-1 [Hazel Owsla] served as the core, with various enhancement components from the TR-6 and Hrairoo II connected to its upper body, and carrying a set of multi-purpose composite armament, the "Composite Shield Booster." If combined with two [Fudoh II] units, it can transform into the even more mobile [Hrairoo-Rah] or cruising form, similar to the Gundam TR-6 [Hrairoo II].
The "METAL ROBOT Damashii Gundam TR-1 [Hrairoo]" utilizes precision parts to recreate the intricate details of its full body armor. Key movable frame sections such as the torso and legs are crafted from alloy material, which is then electroplated and painted to enhance the substantial feel of the alloy parts. All plastic parts are finished with metallic and matte paints to reproduce the complex colors of the finer details. Furthermore, various Titans and T3 Force markings are printed throughout the body, adding a realistic, weapon-like authenticity to the model.
The main weapon, the "Composite Shield Booster," can open and close its rear thrusters without part swapping. The gun barrel includes heat-state parts to recreate its use as a heat sword. Additionally, it comes with a beam rifle and three beam sabers, and when combined with the auxiliary arms deployed from the waist, it can recreate the model's original form.
