"Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day" (also known as "Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai.") is an original Japanese anime released by animation studio A-1 Pictures in 2011. It tells the story of a group of childhood friends, the "Super Peace Busters," who drift apart after one of their members, Meiko Honma, nicknamed "Menma" (or "Mei-Mei"), unexpectedly passes away. Five years later, Menma's ghost suddenly appears before the male protagonist, Jinta. The group reunites to help Menma fulfill her wish and resolve their lingering emotional conflicts. Its excellent animation quality and incredibly moving plot have made it a beloved, tear-jerking masterpiece among fans!
This "Meiko Honma" pre-painted figure stands approximately 16 cm tall, faithfully recreating Menma's appearance from the series. The iconic white dress is intricately sculpted with detailed wrinkles, and her flowing hair dynamic creates a sense of lightness. It also includes an interchangeable smiling face part for Menma. But it's strange, even though she's smiling, why does it make one involuntarily want to shed tears...?
