T-ARTS, a toy brand under Japan's TAKARA TOMY Company, will release a product based on the classic cartoon "Tom and Jerry"—the "Tom and Jerry Hide&Seek Figures" gashapon. The suggested retail price is 400 JPY per capsule, with an anticipated release in July 2024!
The widely beloved "Tom and Jerry," created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera in 1940, is an animated series produced and distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. During its initial run from 1940 to 1958, it garnered 7 Academy Awards for Best Animated Short Film. After its revival in 1961, its popularity soared, even surpassing the "Looney Tunes" cartoon series, becoming a globally acclaimed animated show. Its enduring popularity continues to this day, with its exquisite animation highly praised by subsequent generations and its engaging storylines frequently sparking online discussions!
This time, Tom and Jerry join T-ARTS' "Hide&Seek Figures" series, inviting the characters to play hide-and-seek with you, covering their faces with items like cheese, hats, and pots. The collection features four types: "Tom," "Jerry," "Tuffy," and Jerry's cousin "Muscles Mouse." Each figure adopts the series' signature "ostrich-style" hiding pose, where only the face is covered, making them incredibly adorable when lined up!
