Jumbo Machineder 'Great Hero Great Mazinger' Classic Soft Vinyl Revived, Modern Technology Recreates Impressive 60 cm Sculpt!

Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd.'s collector's toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, recently announced the latest soft vinyl toy product, "Great Hero Jumbo Machineder Great Mazinger," from the classic robot series "Great Mazinger," slated for release in December 2024.

'Jumbo Machineder (ジャンボマシンダー)' is a popular giant soft vinyl toy series launched by Japan's POPY toy company (now: BANDAI TOY DIVISION) between 1973 and 1982, which was once immensely popular in Japan. This series featured highly popular hero characters of the time, such as Mazinger Z and Kamen Rider, producing soft vinyl toys with a total height of approximately 60 cm, and even developed original toy armaments and play features.

Following the first revival installment of the series, "Invincible King Mazinger Z," Bandai is once again re-releasing another classic product, the "Great Hero Great Mazinger," faithfully reproducing its 60 cm height, styling, color scheme, material, and sense of weight from 1973 using modern technology. This includes the "グレートマジンガー" (Great Mazinger) lettering on the abdomen and back wings, as well as the missiles mounted on the shoulders and legs, all thoroughly recreated.

For armaments, it includes a small "Mazinger Blade" stored in both thighs and a large "Mazinger Blade" with a chrome-plated blade, scaled to the main body. The wrists feature a built-in ejection mechanism to launch both fists, recreating the "Atomic Punch." Furthermore, it comes with the original super secret weapon "ZZ-2 Super Rapid-Fire Missile," which was sold separately back then, allowing three missile parts to be launched by pressing individual buttons.
