MECHA SMILE, the mechanical-themed brand under Japanese model manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY, recently announced development information for the latest product in its "THE GATTAI" series, based on "The Brave of the Sun Fighbird": "Granbird". The release date is yet to be determined.
The Fire Shuttle was originally another extra-atmospheric rescue transport developed by the Amano Peace Science Institute. However, due to the extensive damage sustained by Fire Jet / Fighbird in battle and the urgent need for combat power, the Fire Shuttle was infused with cosmic energy and transformed into a transformable robot. When combined with the "Jet Changer", it forms "Jet Gattai Granbird". After Fighbird's repair, the two machines can further combine to form the strongest combined form, "Great Fighbird".
The main body of "THE GATTAI Granbird" is essentially consistent with previously released information. The Fire Shuttle features a complete transformation mechanism, allowing it to recreate its robot form, "Granbird", without the need for part swapping. It also includes the "Jet Changer", which can combine with Granbird to form "Jet Gattai Granbird", while also recreating the combination mechanism with protagonist "Yutaro Hoshino's" core form in the left chest.
This marks the first reveal of the mechanism for Fighbird and Granbird to combine into "Great Fighbird". Through precise transformation and combination design, the two machines form the upper and lower halves respectively, boasting a flexible range of articulation. The main weapon, "Fire Sword", comes in two versions: one prioritizing cool proportions, and another recreating the Jet Changer's combination mechanism.
