Japanese toy company TAKARA TOMY's high-end toy brand T-SPARK recently officially announced the second installment in its new assembly model product series, "REALIZE MODEL", featuring the "RMZ-002 Geno Saurer" from "ZOIDS", with a scheduled release in late February 2025.
"REALIZE MODEL" is an articulated assembly model product produced at 1/100 scale, highlighting features such as "super articulation," "easy assembly," and "collectibility." Regardless of the number of parts, sense of scale, or design and structure, the developers have considered the preferences sought by players from their perspective, materializing various ideal conditions one by one.
The "RMZ-002 Geno Saurer" inherits the design of the old kit released in 2000, completely revamping the Geno Saurer's cool image with modern technology and new sculpting featuring high-density details. It also incorporates numerous new mechanisms to recreate the armed settings from the TV anime version, possessing four major features: "abundant articulation mechanisms," "detailed articulation performance mechanisms," "anime scene reproducibility," and "famous scene recreation accessories."
The entire model is constructed using multi-color molded parts and features newly designed articulation mechanisms not seen in previous ZOIDS products. Not only are abundant articulation mechanisms such as pull-out joints and multi-joints equipped in areas like the neck, shoulders, body, limbs, and tail, but even detailed parts like the hand claws, foot claws, and leg thrusters have articulated designs, allowing for natural and dynamic poses such as side-swaying tail and roaring with head held high. The head can also recreate two forms, mass-production type and dedicated type, by swapping parts.
Furthermore, the REALIZE MODEL Geno Saurer can also recreate various armed mechanisms from the anime through a series of articulated actions such as lowering the leg anchors, deploying cooling units, and opening its mouth to recreate the firing of the "Charged Particle Cannon," or recreating the firing of the long-range pulse laser rifle on its back with effect parts, or using the articulation of the leg thrusters to recreate aerial hovering scenes. The accessories also include mini figures of Raven and a regular soldier in the same scale, which can be placed in the cockpit.
