Released by Japanese model manufacturer MEGAHOUSE, the new model series 'MEGA TOON', which transforms Yu-Gi-Oh! monster cards into a cartoon style, today announced its second wave of products, "Obelisk the Tormentor" and "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", slated for release in November 2024, following the first wave, "Dark Magician" and "Slifer the Sky Dragon".

In the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series, the Toon Deck was a special set of cards created by the monster card originator, Pegasus J. Crawford, for his own enjoyment. After activating the Continuous Spell Card 'Toon World', all monsters on his field would be Toon-ified. Only Toon monsters could inflict damage on other Toon monsters. However, in the original story, only Pegasus possessed this deck, making it quite a "cheat" existence. Although 'Toon World' isn't particularly practical in real life, many Toon-ified monsters like Dark Magician Girl, Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Summoned Skull, etc., boast incredibly cute designs.

The 'MEGA TOON' series continues the Toon Deck style. This time, it features one of the popular Egyptian God cards, "Obelisk the Tormentor". Crafted into a compact, low-proportioned cartoon design with a height of approximately 15 cm, it retains Obelisk's original fierce head and powerful limb designs despite its seemingly cute physique. The intricate sculpting also faithfully reproduces the rough textures of the armor's cut edges.
