TAITO Corporation (株式会社タイトー) recently announced on X (formerly Twitter) that its "Desktop Cute" prize figure series will release a new product featuring the popular anime "Bocchi the Rock!" – "Hitori Gotoh," scheduled for release as a prize item in September 2024!
"Bocchi the Rock!" is a four-panel manga series created by Japanese manga artist Aki Hamaji, which was adapted into an anime by CloverWorks and aired in 2022. The story follows the protagonist, "Bocchi" Hitori Gotoh, who constantly practices guitar with the dream of forming a band, but due to her social anxiety, she has been unable to achieve it. One day after school, she coincidentally meets Nijika Ijichi, who is looking for a guitarist for her band. As a result, she joins "Kessoku Band," and together with bassist Ryo Yamada and Ikuyo Kita, they begin their musical activities, with Bocchi gradually confronting her social anxiety.
This Desktop Cute Hitori Gotoh features a somewhat anxious sitting pose, meticulously sculpted to capture the soft texture and details of Bocchi's pink tracksuit. She is also wearing bear-shaped slippers, making the overall appearance even cuter! Her pink hair and iconic blue and yellow hair accessories are made from transparent PVC, creating a translucent visual effect that gives Bocchi a light and beautiful "bishōjo" feel!
