Bandai's GASHAPON division is releasing a new product based on the popular anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" – the "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Dangling Mascot Charms" gashapon. The suggested retail price is 300 JPY per turn, and it is expected to be available in late October 2024!
"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is a Japanese manga series written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. In 2023, it was adapted into a TV anime by MADHOUSE animation studio. The story follows the elven protagonist Frieren, who possesses an exceptionally long lifespan. After the passing of her former companion, the hero Himmel, she realizes the fleeting beauty of human life. She then embarks on a journey with the disciples of two past comrades to understand human emotions and find self-redemption.
Each "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Dangling Mascot Charms" gashapon stands approximately 3.1 to 3.5 cm tall. Frieren, Fern, and Stark are sculpted in a cute, approximately 2-head-tall chibi style, depicting them dangling in mid-air. The charm loop on their heads completes the look of them being suspended. Each character comes in two different facial expressions, with their pouting and squinting eyes looking quite reluctant! The charm parts come in two versions: ball chain and hook. Combined with the characters' different expressions, there are a total of 12 variations. Collectors can also connect all the charms together using the hooks on the figures' chests and heads, creating an amusing scene of Frieren and her companions all strung up together!
