Danish toy company LEGO is set to release a new Technic series product on August 1, 2024, the "42177 Mercedes-Benz G500", which was finally officially unveiled recently! The suggested retail price is US$249.99.
Updated on July 15, 2024:
This LEGO model, commemorating the 45th anniversary of the classic G-Class off-road vehicle, includes 2891 pieces. Once assembled, it stands approximately 22 cm tall and measures 43 cm long. It not only fully reproduces the classic square lines and sleek design of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, but its striking orange body also brings to mind the G 500 that debuted at the 2018 North American International Auto Show. The construction utilizes a large number of orange Technic elements to outline the body, while the chassis, bumpers, and roof rack are built with black Technic elements. Basic bricks are also used in many places for embellishment, and the Mercedes-Benz LOGO can be seen on the front, all four tires, and the steering wheel, making the overall appearance quite stunning!
Since this is a Technic series and a PROFESSIONAL Line product specifically designed for adults, you absolutely must experience the play features of this G 500! These include a front-wheel steering system, a raised suspension system, a differential lock, an opening hood to observe the operation of the 6-cylinder in-line piston engine, and a gearbox with forward, neutral, and reverse gears. At the same time, the car doors and tailgate can also be opened, allowing you to slowly appreciate the exquisite interior construction of this G 500 LEGO model.
