The 1/100 scale Gundam plastic model "MG (Master Grade)" series, known for its excellent part separation, internal frame structure, and rich articulation, released by BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division in Japan, today announced the latest product from the official side story "Gundam Build Divers Genius Head Line": "MG 1/100 Gundam Stormbringer P.F.", scheduled for release in August 2024. This product will be sold exclusively on Bandai's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.
The Gundam Stormbringer P.F. is the fourth unit in the "Gundam Stormbringer" series of Gunpla built by the protagonist Jim (Tim Barrett) in the story. It is an improved version based on the previous F.A. model, with additional armor parts on areas prone to being hit, and equipped with heavy armaments such as a twin beam cannon and a large Gatling gun. Although its weight has increased significantly, combined with its already excessive high thrust, it has become a high-performance mobile suit in all aspects. Furthermore, the mobile suit is painted with a low-visibility color scheme using a special radar-absorbing paint called "Phantom Color," hence the name "PHANTOM FANG."
The "MG 1/100 Gundam Stormbringer P.F." is also designed by Japanese modeler NAOKI. It is a modification of the previously released F.A. version kit, with new parts used throughout the entire model to reproduce distinct head antennas, waist armor, arm armor, and leg armor. It also comes with newly designed abundant armaments such as a twin beam cannon, 360mm bazooka, large Gatling gun, and beam saber, which can be mounted on the back and both arms. The head can also be replaced with the design of the original unit, "Gundam Turbulence Jim."
