Japanese model company KAIYODO's popular articulated figure series "AMAZING YAMAGUCHI" recently announced an updated version of the previously released DC Comics character "Deathstroke" — "Deathstroke Ver.1.5", with a suggested retail price of 9,900 JPY, slated for release in May 2025!
"Deathstroke," whose real name is Slade Wilson, is known in the DC Universe as "the greatest assassin in history" and "the world's most expensive assassin." Deathstroke's strength, agility, endurance, intelligence, and reflexes are all more than a dozen times that of a normal human's peak. His brilliant mind and superb skills make him a formidable opponent on par with Batman, and he sometimes appears as an anti-hero in the comics!
This "Deathstroke Ver.1.5" is a supplementary and improved version of the Ver.1.0 released in 2018, with the prototype once again sculpted by the esteemed Katsuhisa Yamaguchi. The main body continues to utilize the highly articulated Yamaguchi-style jointed body from 1.0, and the metallic paint finish on the scaled chest armor and battle suit presents a gleaming, high-quality texture! This updated version adds accessories including the "God Killer" blade, which Deathstroke used to slay immortal enemies in issue #7 of the 2016 "Deathstroke" comic series, and a dedicated scabbard that can be equipped on his back. It also includes flame effect parts that can be attached to the God Killer blade, significantly upgrading his overall combat power!
Pre-ordering at KAIYODO's directly managed stores will also include a bonus head sculpt featuring flames burning from the left eye of the mask, recreating Deathstroke's enraged appearance from the comics!
