NECA, a prominent American toy manufacturer, has officially announced a new product in its high-quality 7-inch action figure series "Ultimate" following "The Last Ronin: Donatello's Memory." This new release is the "Battle-Damaged Last Ronin" 7-inch action figure, based on the American comic "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin." It has a suggested retail price of US$36.99 and is scheduled for release in August 2024!
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin" is a comic series published from 2020 to 2022. The story, led by co-creator Kevin Eastman, depicts a near-future where evil forces rise, public safety in New York City deteriorates, and the Ninja Turtles and their allies fall one by one in battle. Years later, the sole surviving turtle embarks on a mission to avenge his fallen father and brothers, and to seek long-overdue justice for New York City.
This "Battle-Damaged Last Ronin" 7-inch action figure's sculpt is based on the second issue of "The Last Ronin" comic. It portrays the Last Ronin after he failed to challenge the main villain Oroku Hiroto and attempted seppuku, only to faint from intense pain. He was then rescued by April and Casey's daughter, Jones, and an elderly April, and is shown having removed all his gear while recuperating in the sewers, a place full of memories. Accessories include three sets of interchangeable hands, a pair of bandaged arms, three interchangeable head sculpts, and the notebook and tea set used in the comic when he converses, haunted by the spirits of his deceased brothers, perfectly recreating this classic emotional scene from the comic!
The outer box also features illustrations personally drawn by "The Last Ronin" comic artist Ben Bishop. The side artwork can be combined with other "The Last Ronin" series products, greatly enhancing the collectible value of this series' packaging!
