Japanese streetwear brand Peace and After, known for collaborations with popular works like "Dragon Ball" and "Chainsaw Man," will partner with the godfather of Japanese sci-fi military, Kow Yokoyama, to release three themed soft vinyl toys commemorating the fourth anniversary of the popular gag manga and anime series "Me & Roboco"! In this article, we'll be showcasing two other "Me & Roboco" themed products from this release—the "Roboco" and "Kanio" soft vinyl toys. Each is priced at 9,800 JPY (tax excluded) and is now available for pre-order on the Peace and After official website, with an estimated release in December 2024!
"Me & Roboco" (Boku to Roboco) is a gag manga series by Shuhei Miyazaki, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2020, and adapted into an anime by Studio Gallop in 2022. The story is set in a distant future where every household has a beautiful maid robot. The protagonist, fifth-grader Bondo Taira, envies his classmate's maid robot and argues with his mother for one. However, the robot that appears at the Taira family's doorstep is "Roboco"—a muscular, terrible cook with unexpectedly formidable combat abilities. Thus begins their bizarre, hilarious, and homage-filled daily life!

The Roboco figure stands approximately 16.5 cm tall, striking her iconic salute pose! The overall design faithfully recreates Roboco's maid outfit and twin-tail hairstyle from the series. Leveraging the characteristics of three-dimensional sculpting, the muscular lines across her entire body (especially around the knees) are meticulously detailed, perfectly capturing Roboco's most endearing features!
The other character released this time is "Kanio," a robot under Dr. Mokkos (Dr.モッコス) in the series, who was buried alive by Roboco 88 times while investigating her weaknesses! The Kanio soft vinyl figure stands approximately 18 cm tall and is based on sketches drawn by Kow Yokoyama. His claws and chest circumference have been enlarged, and his irritatingly smug smile is faithfully reproduced, enhancing his imposing presence as a weapon created by Dr. Mokkos!
