Within the "Figuarts ZERO" non-articulated figure brand, released by BANDAI SPIRITS' collector's toy division TAMASHII NATIONS in Japan, the "EXTRA BATTLE" series, which recreates characters in the midst of unleashing their special moves, has announced its latest product from "One Piece": the "Shanks -Divine Departure-" pre-painted figure! The suggested retail price is 13,200 JPY, with an estimated release in December 2024.
The captain of the Red-Hair Pirates, Shanks, is known as "Red-Haired Shanks" (赤髪のシャンクス) due to his striking red hair. He is one of the "Four Emperors" and an idol whom the protagonist Luffy admired since childhood. At the beginning of the story in the "East Blue Arc," he lost his left arm saving Luffy from a Sea King, inspiring Luffy's dream of becoming a pirate. Shanks entrusted his straw hat to Luffy for safekeeping, promising to return it when Luffy becomes a great pirate.
The "Figuarts ZERO Shanks -Divine Departure-" pre-painted figure stands approximately 20 cm tall. It three-dimensionally captures the dynamic moment when Shanks unleashes "Divine Departure," the same technique used by Gol D. Roger, as he charges forward, preparing to swing his sword! The sharp gaze is vividly recreated, his open shirt reveals a muscular chest, and his cape billows with the movement. The furious expression, combined with the aura effect parts at his feet, enhances the overall power!
