Deadpool & Wolverine: A Toy Photography Homage
The highly anticipated film 'Deadpool & Wolverine' is set to release this week. As an enthusiast of toy photography and Photoshop post-production, I couldn't resist creating a special homage.
However, Hot Toys' new Wolverine won't arrive until Q4 2025, so I had to make do with my Deadpool and Days of Future Past Wolverine action figures for this project!

Focus all your attention on a single piece of work.
From Action Figure to Art Piece
The creative process begins with carefully photographing the action figures, focusing on capturing their details, expressions, and atmosphere.
Before & After: Wolverine
After processing, the original Wolverine image shows more pronounced lighting effects, more dramatic shadows, and a more vivid expression. The final result is a more intense and realistic portrayal.
Before & After: Deadpool
Similarly, after adjustments, the Deadpool image features better lighting, clearer details, and more vibrant colors, fully showcasing his quirky and dynamic personality.
Action Figure Movie Poster
A self-made action figure movie poster for 'Deadpool & Wolverine'. This poster showcases the characters in dramatic poses, highlighting their unique features and the exciting action they bring. The main goal was to use photography combined with Photoshop to create a striking piece of art that captures the essence of these beloved characters.
Behind the Scenes
Here's a step-by-step look at my workflow:
- 1. Initial Photography: Capture high-quality images of the action figures.
- 2. Editing: Enhance each figure using Photoshop, focusing on lighting, shadows, and colors.
- 3. Composite Creation: Combine the edited figures into a unified image.
- 4. Final Touches: Add text, special effects, and finishing details to produce the final poster.
Creating these images is a combination of my passion for photography, toy collecting, and digital art. I hope my Deadpool & Wolverine homage provides a visually stunning experience, allowing you to enjoy these fantastic characters in this unique way, especially since this is likely Hugh Jackman's last time portraying Wolverine.
Feel free to share your thoughts.
