Hong Kong toy design brand Kaiju One (壹工房)'s "BIG SCALE" series, known for its imposing presence, after releasing "EVA Unit-01" and "EVA Unit-02" based on "Neon Genesis Evangelion," the third new release is indeed that yellow unit! The "EVA Unit-00 (Rebuild)" soft vinyl toy is scheduled to be released at "Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong 2024."
"EVANGELION Prototype Unit-00" was NERV's earliest produced EVA prototype, piloted by the First Child, "Rei Ayanami." As there were no plans to deploy it in actual combat during its production, Prototype Unit-00 was not equipped with any weaponry; it was previously frozen due to a berserk incident and only awakened and deployed in battle during "Operation Yashima." Because Prototype Unit-00 was heavily damaged while protecting Shinji during Operation Yashima, it was subsequently modified into Unit-00 (Rebuild), equipped with weaponry and combat capabilities.
This time, Kaiju One's "BIG SCALE EVA Unit-00 (Rebuild)" reinterprets the unit with the series' consistent body proportions, and, like its predecessors, is crafted in an impressive 50 cm tall, powerful size! In addition to faithfully recreating the modified design details, the vibrant and warm yamabuki yellow paired with gray and white is also quite stunning, and the glossy finish emanating from its surface is incredibly captivating!
▼ Furthermore, Kaiju One will also be releasing the "Unit-01 Berserk Ver." soon. Toy enthusiasts who are interested should prepare themselves for their wallets to disappear once again!
