Japanese toy brand 1000toys, in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the classic comic series "Hellboy," has announced a new masterpiece product, the "Hellboy 30TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION" 1/12 scale action figure, a collaboration once again with American comic master "Mike Mignola"! The suggested retail price is 19,800 JPY, and pre-orders are now open on the 1000toys official website, with an estimated release in December 2024.
Hellboy was created by Mike Mignola, known as the "Color Magician," and in 1994, he published the uniquely styled and highly acclaimed comic series "Hellboy," which garnered a massive cult following. It created a distinctive atmosphere with high-contrast styles crafted through color and light. Hellboy's original name is "Anung Un Rama." He possesses a vibrant red body, a tail, a massive, rock-like right hand known as the "Right Hand of Doom," and a pair of curved horns. Although he was destined to bring about the destruction of humanity upon his birth, he fights to protect humankind!
The "Hellboy 30TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION" 1/12 scale action figure, specially released for the 30th anniversary of "Hellboy," is based on a previously sold version, recreating Mike Mignola's powerful illustrations. At 19 cm tall, it presents a commanding and robust presence! Sophisticated articulation designs have been incorporated into various areas, including the muscular physique and the fingers of the Right Hand of Doom.
The set includes weapon accessories such as a pistol and the golden longsword "Excalibur Sword," along with interchangeable hand parts, horns, and alternate expression parts. It also features a removable detective trench coat and a commemorative T-shirt featuring the cover of the first comic volume! A 1994-2024 commemorative logo has also been incorporated into the design; the product packaging is also designed based on the first comic volume, making the entire package even more significant for collectors!
