Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, under its S.H.Figuarts action figure brand, has officially unveiled another new product from the popular manga "Dandadan," which is soon to be animated – the "Okarun (Transformed State)" action figure, in addition to the "Momo Ayase". It will retail for 8,250 JPY and is scheduled for release in January 2025!

The protagonist of this work, Ken Takakura, went alone to a famous haunted tunnel after a bet with Momo. Unexpectedly, he was cursed by the yokai "Turbo Granny" lurking in the tunnel, who stole his testicles. After successfully repelling Granny, he made a deal with her to continuously use her powers. In the manga, Momo, displeased that Takakura shared a name with her favorite idol and that Takakura liked occult things, always called him "Okarun." The news of "Dandadan's" anime adaptation was announced last November, with an expected broadcast in Fall 2024, which is highly anticipated!
This Okarun (Transformed State) figure stands approximately 15 cm tall, capturing Okarun's barefoot, white-haired, masked appearance after transforming using Turbo Granny's powers. The glasses are rendered with transparent material, and the uniform sculpt features torn edges and wrinkle details from its transformation from a middle school uniform. The paint application also uses airbrushing to recreate the gray-red gradient of the clothes. The highly articulated design allows for recreating Okarun's slouching, lazy posture after transformation, and it comes with an unmasked head sculpt and multiple interchangeable hand parts, enabling the recreation of cool fighting poses from the series!
