World-renowned TV and film special effects company "WETA Workshop" today (25th) announced a brand new series, "The Miniature Skulls Collection," releasing five new non-scale skull statues at once: "Gollum", "Cave Troll", Uruk-hai "Lurtz", "Moria Orc", and "Fell Beast"! Shipping is expected to begin in Q4 2024.
This time, we're not just looking at these new collectibles as Lord of the Rings fans or toy enthusiasts; we're also adopting the perspective of archaeologists and ancient artifact lovers, appreciating the intrinsic (physical) charm of these classic creatures from different angles! Jamie Beswarick, who sculpted these skull collectibles, also participated in the character design for The Lord of the Rings film series, significantly enhancing the significance and authenticity of this skull collection, making them seem like genuine treasures from Middle-earth. The material used for the bones is Polystone, while the obsidian-effect (Obsidian) stand evokes the atmosphere of Saruman's research artifacts, giving them a museum exhibit feel – truly cool!
