Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd.'s collector's toy division TAMASHII NATIONS' robot action figure brand "ROBOT SPIRITS" under the "SIDE SUPER" series is releasing a new product based on "Grendizer U" – the "Grendizer" action figure. The suggested retail price is 9,350 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in December 2024!
The TV anime "Grendizer U" (グレンダイザー U), which officially premiered this month, is produced by GAINA Co. It is a reboot of the TV anime "Grendizer" (グレンダイザー), originally created by Go Nagai and broadcast from 1975 to 1977. Mitsuo Fukuda directs, Yoshiyuki Sadamoto handles character design, and Ichiro Okouchi is in charge of planning. The announcement of the production staff and voice cast previously generated considerable discussion!
This ROBOT SPIRITS Grendizer stands approximately 15 cm tall. It is based on the 3D model used in the new "Grendizer U" series, meticulously sculpting the details of the mecha's streamlined design. The vibrant colors of Grendizer from the show are accurately reproduced using a combination of matte and partial pearlescent paints! The arm armor features rotational articulation, allowing for the recreation of the "Screw Crusher Punch" (スクリュークラッシャーパンチ) launch pose. The blades on the shoulders can be detached and assembled into the "Double Harken" (ダブルハーケン), which, just like in the series, can be combined into a single double-bladed long weapon. Coupled with two pairs of interchangeable hands, various cool poses can be achieved!
