Sculptor Yoshi., who has recently garnered significant attention for the captivating works and worldview of his "Tsumugi-Bako" series, following the powerful Garage Kit model "Destroyah Perfect Form" released at 【WF2024 Winter】, has once again obtained a same-day license from Toho at this summer's "Wonder Festival 2024 Summer" model exhibition, to release the "Super Mechagodzilla (1993) Garage Kit Model" from the movie "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla," with booth number 6-11-17.
Appearing in the 1993 film "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla", Mechagodzilla is a cutting-edge weapon developed by the United Nations' anti-Godzilla military division "G-Force". It was created by analyzing the remains of Mecha-King Ghidorah to acquire 23rd-century future technology, combined with their experience in developing anti-G weapons like "Super X". Standing at an impressive 120 meters tall, it is equipped with a vast array of missiles, lasers, and beam cannons, and features artificial diamond mirror-coated armor that significantly reduces damage from Godzilla's atomic breath and can even absorb its energy. Once charged, it can unleash its most powerful weapon, the "Plasma G-Beam", from its abdomen. Mechagodzilla can also combine with the high-speed fighter jet "Garuda" to form Super Mechagodzilla, resolving its mobility issues through flight capabilities and further enhancing its overall performance.
Yoshi.'s "Super Mechagodzilla (1993) Garage Kit Model" reimagines the design proportions based on the original settings, and at a powerful 30 cm height, it further emphasizes the curved aesthetics resulting from its "future technology construction". This gives the silver-white outer armor an armor-like appearance, making its physique more robust and slender. The face also features a cool design that conveys the essence of a cold, mechanical weapon, and it includes a built-in eye-lighting mechanism.
By swapping parts, it can recreate "Super Mechagodzilla" after combining with Garuda. The Garuda's main body design, departing from the realistic style of the original, similarly incorporates numerous curved structures consistent with this version of Mechagodzilla, and its main wings and thrusters are also enlarged.
