In addition to the "75389 Dark Millennium Falcon" and "75393 TIE Fighter & X-Wing Mash-up" sets, Danish toy company LEGO will also release a new set this August from "LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy" – the "75388 Jedi Bob's Starfighter"! The suggested retail price is US$39.99.
"LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy" is a special commemorative animation celebrating the 25th anniversary of the "LEGO Star Wars" product line in 2024. The story describes how the "bricks" that built the galaxy have been misplaced, causing the entire Star Wars world to fall apart, with incredible changes sweeping across every corner. This small vehicle + minifigure set, 75388, contains 305 pieces, including a red and white-themed starfighter, a brick-built model of the droid SR-V0, and two very interesting minifigures: Jedi Knight Bob and an Ackbar Trooper.
First, let's talk about Bob. His physical minifigure first appeared in the 2002 LEGO set "7163 Republic Gunship," but his name wasn't revealed as Bob until the 2009 book "LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary." In "LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy," Jedi Knight Bob appears to be a character who guards the continuity of the universe's spacetime. As for Admiral Ackbar, a Mon Calamari, many toy enthusiasts are surely familiar with him, especially his classic line "It's A Trap!" Originally a key figure in the Rebel Alliance, he has now transformed into an Imperial soldier, making us truly look forward to the broadcast of "LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy."
