Japan's model manufacturer Max Factory's popular movable figure series "figma" will release the latest product from "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time", "figma Gendo Ikari". The suggested retail price is 13,200 Japanese Yen, and it is scheduled for release in April 2025!
Gendo Ikari, who serves as the commander of the special agency NERV, is the father of the protagonist Shinji Ikari and the overall head of the entire EVA development project. He is cold-hearted and even disregards humanity and emotions to achieve his goals. His words and actions are quite mysterious, and the highly classified "Human Instrumentality Project" and the establishment of NERV are deeply connected to him. Ostensibly, he follows the directives of SEELE and the Human Instrumentality Committee, but secretly, he has his own plans.
The "figma Gendo Ikari" articulated figure stands approximately 16.5 cm tall. Based on his appearance from "Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition", it meticulously recreates his look with goggles; the gold trim on his coat and the fitted maroon turtleneck inner shirt are also delicately painted and detailed. In addition to the carefully sculpted thick beard on his face, it also includes a face part with the goggles removed, recreating the chilling, god-slaying appearance with cross-shaped empty eyes after he declares "I'm no longer human!" Paired with multiple interchangeable hand parts, you can enjoy posing him with his hands in his pants pockets, clasped hands, and other signature actions!
