In addition to the previously announced "Spider-Man (Miles Morales) -1610 Rooftop Ver.", the S.H.Figuarts action figure brand, released by BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, has also unveiled another Tamashii Web Shouten exclusive new product from the "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" theme: the "Spider-Gwen -1610 Rooftop Ver." action figure. It has a suggested retail price of 8,250 JPY and is scheduled for release in September 2024!
In "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse", Spider-Gwen (Gwen Stacy) was dispatched by the Spider-Society to Universe 1610 to track the villain Spot. Unable to resist her longing for Miles Morales, she visited him to catch up, but inadvertently allowed Spot, who had gained the ability to traverse the multiverse, to escape. The dreamlike scene in the movie where the two swing through New York City, converse, and finally sit upside down together on the Williamsburgh Savings Bank Tower is truly unforgettable!
This Spider-Gwen -1610 Rooftop Ver. stands approximately 15 cm tall. Also inspired by the scene where the two are on the rooftop, it uses the previously released "Spider-Gwen" as its base, featuring a pearlescent paint application to capture the colors of the New York City twilight and the city lights reflecting on her Spider-suit. It retains the multiple interchangeable hands and the stunning head sculpt from the previous version, adds the much-requested clenched fist hand parts that fans were looking for in the last release, and additionally includes an upside-down head sculpt with her hair and hood hanging downwards. This allows collectors to display her alongside the simultaneously released "Spider-Man (Miles Morales) -1610 Rooftop Ver." to recreate that romantic rooftop scene!
▼The base print has also been updated to feature the special effects from when she uses her wristband to traverse the multiverse!
