Produced by Japan's PLEX company and distributed by X-PLUS company, the popular soft vinyl figure series "DefoReal," which incorporates intricate realistic details into a cute deformed scale, recently announced the latest product from the movie "Shin Godzilla: ORTHOchromatic," the "Godzilla (2016) ORTHO Ver. 3-Form Set," scheduled for release in October 2024. This product will be exclusively sold on X-PLUS's official online store "Shonen RIC."
The Godzilla that appeared in the movie "Shin Godzilla" was jointly designed by director Hideaki Anno, designer Mahiro Maeda, sculptor Takayuki Takeya, and others. It is a colossal "perfect organism" capable of freely and rapidly evolving and devolving, quickly adapting to its environment, undergoing several evolutions within hours of landing in Japan. Godzilla possesses a "thermonuclear energy conversion bio-organ" within its body, seemingly able to generate immense energy and release radioactive substances without needing to eat. The heat ray it emits from its mouth instantly turned Tokyo's bustling streets into a sea of fire, completely beyond the current scope of human knowledge.

The "DEFOREAL Godzilla (2016) ORTHO Ver. 3-Form Set" is based on the regular edition of the Godzilla (2016) Three-Form Set released in 2017. It features reflective silver paint applied internally to transparent molded parts, while the exterior is painted with low-reflectivity grayscale colors, re-adjusted based on the black and white film version "Shin Godzilla: ORTHOchromatic" released in 2023, combining a sense of biological realism with the vintage texture seen in the movie.
