Japanese model manufacturer X-PLUS recently exhibited new model prototypes from various works such as 'Godzilla', 'Evangelion', and 'Ultraman' at its booth during the 'Wonder Festival 2024 Summer' exhibition.
Among the many new releases this time, the biggest highlight was the two extremely large and eye-catching GIGANTIC series new products, "SpaceGodzilla" and "Godzilla (2002)", prominently displayed at the venue. Furthermore, this year's Oscar-winning film 'Godzilla Minus One' will see the release of "Toho Large Monster Series FAVORITE PRODUCTS LINE Oarfish (2023)", depicting its form before transforming into Godzilla. From the latest work in the Legendary MonsterVerse, 'Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire', the "Godzilla (2024) EVOLVED Ver." emitting a unique purplish-red glow, is also slated for release in the Toho Large Monster Series.

As 2024 marks the 50th anniversary of the classic Godzilla film 'Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla', new products from the movie were also exhibited at the venue, including "Real Master Collection Ryukyu Shisa Statue", "Toho Large Monster Series Godzilla (1974)", and "Toho Large Monster Series King Caesar (1974) Fierce Battle Color Ver.".

Among the many exhibits, a prototype of the phantom monster "Toho 30cm Series Bagan" also appeared. Bagan was a legendary demon beast originally slated to fight Godzilla in "The Resurrection of Godzilla", one of the scripts for the 1984 film 'Godzilla'. It also appeared in plans for 'Mothra vs. Bagan' and a sequel to 'Yamato Takeru', but none were adopted. Some of its settings were later used in the 1993 Super Famicom game 'Super Godzilla' as the memorable final boss, but it wasn't until the official monster puppet show 'Godziban' in 2022 that it officially appeared in a visual work.
