Japanese model manufacturer Aoshima Bunka Kyozai (アオシマ), following the release of the "Time Machine" in its "MOVIE MECHA (ムービーメカ)" product series, announced today (31st) the "Back to the Future Part II" version of the "Time Machine" (タイムマシン) 1/24 scale assembly model kit! It is scheduled for release in December 2024, with a suggested retail price of 7,040 JPY (tax included).
The Time Machine featured in "Back to the Future Part II" is not only equipped with a Hover Conversion system, allowing it to glide freely in the air after its four wheels flip, but also features the "Mr. Fusion" nuclear fusion generator from the future year 2015, adding an enviable sense of futuristic technology to this stylish DeLorean DMC-12! Of course, the hoverboard and the self-lacing Air Mag tech shoes that appeared in the "Back to the Future Part II" movie are also incredibly cool; the scenes full of imagination for the future are truly romantic.
This assembly model, based on the Time Machine from the second movie, the 2015 version, measures approximately 18.4 cm long when completed. It meticulously recreates not only the body lines of the DeLorean DMC-12, the extensive modifications to the rear of the vehicle, and the prominent white Mr. Fusion device, but also allows for display in a hovering flight state with the included stand. The classic gull-wing doors can also be opened. What's even more amazing is that this product also includes a 1/24 scale pink hoverboard, measuring approximately 3 cm long!
