KOTOBUKIYA, a Japanese model manufacturer, today announced that the latest product in its popular 'Megami Device' series, which combines colorful mechanical equipment with highly poseable bishoujo bodies, the 'Shura Nine-Tails Matsuri', is scheduled for release in January 2025.
Following the revamped and enhanced versions of "Ninja Kaneshiya" and "Archer Kaneshiya", the derivative model of these two machines, "Shura Nine-Tails", has also transformed into the "Shura Nine-Tails Matsuri", built with a larger frame. Compared to the original model which focused on various armaments, this model places greater emphasis on fashionable exterior design, utilizing a mini yukata to create an extremely light summer festival style. It uses dance to emit special vibrations to buff allied units and manipulates transformable "Shikigami" to engage in both long-range and close-quarters combat.
The "Shura Nine-Tails Matsuri" also adopts the same "Machineca Block1.5L" body as the Kousu series, redesigned with completely new parts to recreate the full-body mini yukata outfit, three types of Shikigami, fox ears, tails, and other accessories. The larger new body allows for a more natural physique, rich details, and flexible articulation. Paired with two pre-painted face parts, face parts that can be customized with water decals, and multiple PVC molded hand parts, dynamic poses can be achieved.
Although this kit does not include weapons, it can be equipped with weapon parts from the old "Shura Nine-Tails" via common 3mm connection points. Also, because it uses the same "Machineca Block1.5L" body, limb parts can be freely interchanged with the "Kousu series", allowing the Shura series to also equip various exaggerated large armaments.
