Issued by Japan's Bandai Shokugan division, BANDAI CANDY, and with mechanical designer Toshihisa Miyauchi serving as product designer, the popular assembly model Shokugan series "SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT ALTERNATIVE DESTINY" recently announced the commercialization of its latest work, "Dancouga," from the anime "Super Beast Machine God," slated for release in Spring 2025.
In the story, Dr. Hazuki secretly developed four super weapons, the "Beast Machines," to counter the invasion of an alien empire from another dimension. He recruited four young individuals, including Shinobu Fujiwara, from the officer academy to serve as pilots. These four Beast Machines are powerful weapons capable of three-stage transformation: normal mode, beast mode, and robot mode. They can further combine into the giant robot "Dancouga" to unleash maximum combat power. By sensing the pilots' mental energy, Dancouga wields unfathomable power, but this also places a significant burden on their minds and bodies.
"SMPAD Dancouga" similarly incorporates designer Toshihisa Miyauchi's strong stylistic approach to reinterpret the mecha. The armor surface features newly added high-density detailed sculpting, giving it a tall and handsome body proportion. The design of the twin cannons mounted on its back has also been significantly modified, now featuring wing-like shapes reminiscent of Ultimate Dancouga.
Furthermore, another mecha from "Super Beast Machine God," the "Giant Dragon Battleship GUNDOR," is also under development. It secretly harbors an undisclosed mechanism that can link with Dancouga, so we might anticipate an original combination mechanism between Dancouga and the Giant Dragon Battleship.
