Japan's TAKARA TOMY toy company recently announced its latest product from "Transformers One", the "Brave Commander Optimus Prime" (ブレイブコマンダー オプティマスプライム)! It is scheduled for release in September 2024, with a suggested retail price of 9,680 JPY (tax included).
Scheduled to premiere in Taiwan on September 13, 2024, "Transformers One" is a prequel animated film in the "Transformers" series. It will not only reveal the story of Optimus Prime and Megatron as young friends before they became enemies, but also explore the origins of the two major factions, the Autobots and Decepticons, and more about the Transformers' home planet, Cybertron.
This "Brave Commander Optimus Prime" is designed based on his appearance after his potential is awakened and he gains the ability to transform. It faithfully recreates the head sculpt, body proportions, striking red shoulder armor, and the Energy Cannons mounted on both shoulders as seen in "Transformers One". In robot mode, the faceplate can be freely swapped between open and closed configurations. The standalone Matrix of Leadership can be installed in his chest or held in his hand, and the translucent blue Energy Axe can also be equipped, allowing for dynamic battle poses.
Compared to the semi-truck vehicle mode we've seen on the big screen in the past, Optimus Prime's vehicle mode in "Transformers One" is a more sci-fi military-style Cybertronian truck, appearing much more suited for combat.
